Jeepers, creepers… where’d you get those peepers?

Finding just the right pair of sunglasses can be almost as daunting as finding the right swimsuit. Do they fit? Are they too tight? Do they look old-fashioned? Or stylishly retro? Do they enhance your facial features or simply make you look like you don’t have a clue?
Choosing the right shape of sunglasses is easy when you know what to look for. It’s all about your face shape. And if you’re not sure what your face shape is, just look into your bathroom mirror and trace the outline of your face with a bar of soap or a lipstick. Voila!
Once you’ve decided (bring a friend in for confirmation) and armed with that information, here are some tips on choosing the right shape of sunglasses for your face
Next, stand back and be objective! Is the shape more of a circle? Rectangle? Square? Triangle? Diamond? Heart-shaped?
Face Shape: Circle
Choose rectangle, square, or wrap.
Face Shape: Square
Choose aviators or butterflies.
Face Shape: Oblong or Rectangular
Choose wrap, shield, square, or rectangle styles.
Face Shape: Diamond
Choose oval and rimless styles.
Face Shape: Heart-Shaped
You’ll start to see that choosing the right pair of sunglasses is all about creating balance. For example, a general rule to follow is to choose styles that are the OPPOSITE of your face shape. What do we mean by that? If you have a square face shape, choose round frames that will soften your look by creating curves.
Taking the time to match your glasses with your face shape will ensure your glasses look like they were made just for you!
And if all else fails, ask your BF to give his/her opinion as to which sunglasses to choose. An objective opinion is always a good thing!
